Celebrating the legacy and art collection of Fred Meijer

To commemorate the centenary of the birth of Grand Rapids billionaire and art collector, Frederik Meijer, who died in 2011, the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids holds an exhibition which features pieces Meijer collected throughout his life, along with new acquisitions and pieces on loan from sculptors and galleries Meijer knew and loved. Along with 11 different chapters, each based around original works of art from Meijer Gardens’ permanent collection as well as exclusive loans, the exhibit will debut a series of recent acquisitions to Meijer Gardens’ permanent collection, including works by El Anatsui, George Segal and George Minne.
