Welcoming 23 newcomers amongst its list of 240 exhibitors from 42 different countries, this edition of Art Basel Hong Kong offers a more limited American and European presence while emphasising voices from overlooked art scenes. Organisers aim to reflect the show’s commitment to global diversity and regional representation. At its booth, Axel Vervoordt Gallery presents intriguing sculptures from Sopheap Pich, Ann Leda Shapiro and Jaffa Lam to go with El Anatsui’s new shimmering tapestry.
