Echoes of Circumstance

Echoes of Circumstance brings together stalwarts whose works collectively demonstrate a “cycle of metamorphosis” by transforming found objects, biological phenomena, and local resources into complex artistic structures. The exhibition is built around three artists conversant with the alchemical concept, El Anatsui, Lyne Lapointe, and Garnett Puett. It features three works by Anatsui, gleaming, colossal sculptures that are composed with recycled aluminium (bottle caps) flattened into tiles that are stitched together with copper wire.
