El Anatsui: Material Wonder

Coinciding with El Anatsui’s largest retrospective Triumphant Scale, this exhibition celebrates the vision and creative force of El Anatsui and a successful collaboration between the artist and October Gallery since 1993. “I was playing with this idea of a ‘fabric’ as something that’s not fixed. The folds in the material have their own way of running – I don’t create them – they happen naturally, by themselves.
