The largest ever archaeological exhibition of African art in Bologna

Curated by Gigi Pezzoli together with Ezio Bassani, Ex Africa showcases the value of African art and the historical and cultural context from which it originates. The exhibition tells stories of art, identity, power, and the sacredness of meetings and dialogues. It will contain exceptional loans from some of the most important museums and international collections, including the Vatican Museums with works by El Anatsui, Ernst Barlach, Paul Klee, Max Pechstein, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.
