General Conditions

Bringing artists working across a wide range of media and at scales both minuscule and monumental, Jack Shainman Gallery presents General Conditions at The School. On show among the monumental, El Anatsui’s aluminium sculpture tapestry, Obscured Narrative, 2022, is displayed in a novel configuration.

The exhibition gives insight into how we respond to unavoidable shifts in the most fundamental components of public life.
