In the Absence of Light: Gesture, Humor and Resistance in the Black Aesthetic seeks to bring together artistic practices that reveal a strong sense of interiority and much more. The exhibition features Zebra Crossing III, 2007, a colourful tapestry of the Ghanaian master sculptor, El Anatsui’s signature style. It also features works by Glenn Ligon, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, and Henry Taylor.
