Seeking a more harmonious existence with nature, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa brings forth Lines —Aligning Your Consciousness With the Flow. Inspired by Tim Ingoldʼs idea that discoveries made during an artist’s endless search tend to proceed along the lines of nature, the exhibition showcases works from the museum’s collection by artists that explore these lines of nature. It urges the use of art as a platform for introspection and as a guide for consciousness. In this show, El Anatsui’s Perspectives, 2015, a humongous red wall tapestry that is a paragon of introspection, is retrieved from the museum’s archive and displayed prominently in gallery 8.
