Making a Mark: Abstraction in the Ahmanson Collection features twenty-one works from twenty artists from the Ahmanson Collection in a cross generational survey on contemporary abstraction. The exhibition features El Anatsui’s “Gold Band, 2020”. Other exhibiting artists are: Karel Appel, Heather Day, Leonardo Drew, Maja Lisa Engelhardt, Sam Gilliam, Ale Groen, Tim Hawkinson, Sheila Hicks, Erin Lawlor, Meg Lipke, Zoe Paul, Linnea Gabriella Spransy, Liliane Tomasko, Genesis Tramaine, Patricia Treib, Christine Turner, Merrill Wagner, Patrick Wilson, and Miranda Fengyuan Zhang.
