Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York
Making The Met: 1870 – 2020 is a thought provoking and immersive journey through the history of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It features more than 250 master works of art of nearly every type, from well-known favorites to fragile treasures that can only be displayed from time to time. Dusasa II, 2007, a “communal patchwork” of disparate elements made by El Anatsui, is highlighted as a masterpiece that bridges traditional African art forms with contemporary, globalized materials.
