

A celebration of the visionary artists who reshaped modern art in Nigeria during the mid-20th century
Nigerian Modernism is presented by Tate Modern and explores a diverse range of paintings, sculpture, textiles and poetry from over 50 artists including Uzo Egonu, El Anatsui, Ladi Kwali and Ben Enwonwu MBE. El Anatsui will be represented at the exhibition through a selection of his early wooden wall-hanging sculptures including ‘Solemn Crowd at Dawn, 1989’.
