El Anatsui's "Amemo" on view at the Detroit Institute of Art's Great Hall for the next several years
As part of it’s commemoration of El Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead), the Detroit Institute of Arts will be holding its annual Ofrendas exhibition where it will have on display, in its Great Hall, El Anatsui’s Amemo (Mask of Humankind), 2010, on loan from the Padma and Raj Vattikuti collection. The work will remain installed in the Great Hall for the foreseeable future.
