Socle du Monde Biennale is organised by HEART – Herning Museum of Contemporary Art. It is named after Piero Manzoni’s groundbreaking sculpture Socle du Monde, one of the main masterpieces in the HEART collection.

In reference to the city’s history of cloths production, two signature El Anatsui tapestries are the highlights in Stage 5 & 6: The Past and the Future, out of 7 stages of the full programme. Timespace, 2014 and Tsiatsia (Searching For Connections), 2013 project from walls among works by other artists that use textiles.
