Stressed World

Stressed World is an exhibition of artworks that are largely handcrafted by 30 international artists. With a few exceptions, the paintings and sculptures on show are of intimate and human scale. Two of the exceptions to the rule of scale are distinct metallic structures by El Anatsui; the massive, undulating, wall tapestry after which the programme is titled, mounted in the five thousand square foot basement, and Womb of Time, 2014, a harrassed, alien-like sphere of gleaming aluminium, suspended with wire from the centre of the School’s expansive ceiliing. Other exhibitors include Carrie Mae Weems, Andy Warhol, Malick Sidibé, Ifeyinwa Joy Chiamonwu and many more.
