Reopening the Clowes Pavilion after renovation

50 years after its inaugural opening, Clowes Pavilion has been reinstalled at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The reinvigorated space includes a state-of-the-art LED ceiling that evokes an outdoor aesthetic in the heart of the museum. The exhibition features over 100 objects spanning the reinstalled Clowes Collection. Duvor (Communal Cloth), 2007, a significant bottle-top sculpture by the Ghanaian artist El Anatsui, is a centerpiece of the exhibition, displayed alongside Old Master paintings and other works from the IMA’s permanent collection.
