Exploring the dichotomy between the rigid materials and more brittle forms artists create with them

The Fragile Art of Hard Materials invites viewers to reflect on the dynamic contrast between strength and fragility in contemporary sculpture.

Renowned sculptor, El Anatsui, is famous for weaving hard-edged fractured bits of metal together to create vibrant, visually harmonious, draped quilts. The exhibition also features works by Louise Nevelson, Arman, George Rickey, Nancy Graves, George Segal, Mimi Herbert and Joan Danziger.
