“The Slipstream: Reflection, Resilience, and Resistance in the Art of Our Time” avails us with contemporary acquisitions, many of which are quite recent, from the Brooklyn Museum’s collection. It features works by Nick Cave, El Anatsui, Mel Chin, Arthur Jafa, Tschabalala Self, Simone Leigh, and others. It is curated by Eugenie Tsai, John and Barbara Vogelstein, Senior Curator, Contemporary Art, with Joseph Shaikewitz, Curatorial Assistant, Arts of the Americas and Europe, Brooklyn Museum.
