Rubell Museum opens its doors to the public

What’s Going On is the inaugural group exhibition at the newly opened Rubell Museum DC. The show responds to pressing social and political issues, bringing together more than 190 works by 50 artists. The title of the show references Marvin Gaye’s 1971 groundbreaking album and single of the same name. Rubell Museum is housed in the reinvigorated building of the former Randall Jr. High School from which Marvin Gaye is an alumnus. Exhibiting artists include El Anatsui, Kehinde Wiley, Natalie Ball, Cecily Brown and many others.
