You Stretched Diagonally Across It: Contemporary Tapestry is a taxonomical exploration of tapestry, an ancient but contemporarily very popular medium in art. In this exhibition, Dallas Contemporary shows us the works of 31 creatives known to experiment with and challenge the idea of fabric as an art medium.

El Anatsui’s Topos, 2012 represents the textile aesthetic ideally as it appears to oscillate on the wall of the exhibition hall. His work hangs alongside those of other weavers and sculptors like Candice Lin, Hellen Ascoli, Yto Barrada and Diedrick Brackens.
