Aktion Day devoted to El Anatsui‘s “Second Wave“

As an exercise in the exploration of the role of art in public spaces, students at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich discussed the question of whether there should be art in public spaces and whether art in public-sector buildings requires a special space for art mediation. The students have designed projects for “Second Wave” and the surrounding space which will be presented at Haus der Kunst as part of an action day and will be available to the public at free admission.
