The United States’ oldest recurring survey of contemporary art opens in 2018 with El Anatsui’s Three Angles, 2018 adorning the façade of the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Curated by Ingrid Schaffner, this year’s Carnegie International is audience orientated with a goal of “Museum Joy” which, according to the curator, connotes the delight of looking at art with others.
